Let’s talk

Privacy

Your information,
treated with care.

This website presents Alec Pedersen’s work and provides ways to discuss a project. The information below describes the features currently enabled.

Project enquiries

The optional message builder runs in your browser. It does not send your entries to a server or store them on this website. If you leave or reload the page, your draft is lost unless you have copied it.

If you send the draft through email or LinkedIn, that service processes it under its own terms and privacy policy. Alec uses the message to respond to your enquiry.

Demos and website use

The interactive demonstrations use fictional data and run in your browser. The hosting provider may process technical request information to deliver and protect the site.

External websites linked from the portfolio operate under their own privacy policies.

Website analytics

Vercel Web Analytics measures page visits without setting analytics cookies. It operates separately from the optional Google tools, including when Google analytics is declined. This helps Alec understand website traffic and improve the site.

Page URLs sent by this integration exclude query strings and fragments. Enquiry form values are not included. Read Vercel’s analytics privacy details (opens in a new tab) for information about its processing.

Optional Google tools and cookies

Google Analytics 4 is optional. If you allow analytics, Google processes page visits, referral information, device and browser information, and actions such as opening the enquiry page or preparing a message. This helps Alec understand which services interest visitors and where the website can improve.

Google Tag Manager manages optional website tags. Like Google Analytics, it loads only after you allow Google analytics.

The website does not load Google analytics tools until you allow them. Enquiry names, email addresses, message text and other form values are not included in the website’s analytics events. Page URLs sent by the website exclude query strings and fragments. Advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled.

Your choice is stored in this browser for up to 180 days. If allowed, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies to distinguish visits, with a configured lifetime of up to 180 days. You can withdraw consent using Cookie preferences; this stops the website’s Google Analytics events, updates Google’s consent settings and removes the analytics cookies set by this integration. It does not erase information already processed by Google.

Google may process information outside the UK. Read Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) for details of its processing.
