I’m Alec. I design and build websites and software, with a background in fintech, music education, information security and responsible AI.
That experience shapes how I work: understand your business, make the important decisions clear, and build something useful with a clear plan for ongoing care.
A website is often the start of a customer relationship. Software becomes part of someone’s working day. Both deserve care.
My career has taken me through software development and into consulting on the systems businesses rely on. Alongside my independent web and software work, I support organisations at Ley Hill Consultancy Group with information security and AI management systems.
For your project, that means asking useful questions early. What does your customer need to understand? Where is your team losing time? What information will the system hold, and who needs access?
The answers guide the design, the technology and the support we agree after launch. You work directly with the person making those decisions and doing the work.
Software engineering → management systems consulting
I joined as Lead Software Engineer, moved into management systems consulting in March 2024, and specialised in AI and information security from October 2024. My consulting work covers developing, implementing and auditing management systems, with practical advice on business improvement.

A colleague’s perspective
“
“He is highly professional and he always produces a very high quality of work.”
I volunteer as Digital Transformation Manager for Bromham Good Neighbors. My work involves designing and building a custom platform for the charity, covering its workflows, user experience and client and volunteer management.
It brings the work back to something very tangible: the people using a system and the service they need to deliver.
02 / Creativity
A background in sound and music.
I studied Music Technology, Music Production & Sound Engineering at City and Islington College. Before my software roles, I worked in record-label management at Captum Records and project management at AS Mastering.
That creative background is still part of how I approach digital work: with attention to the details and to how the whole experience feels.
